Can't load failed to claim resource

I did a web search for Platform MSFT010100 Failed to claim resource 1 and got this page with a number of articles advising that the problem is likely caused by a faulty stick of RAM.

I swapped out my two sticks of RAM (DIMMs) one at a time and rebooted after each swap. The problem persisted after each swap.

The problem is likely not caused by the RAM. It could be caused by a faulty motherboard. I will need to do further testing to determine the cause of the problem.

Conclusion:

I am still troubleshooting the problem. I will post an update when I have more information.
